What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember information about your visit. Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (transposed into Irish law via S.I. No. 336 of 2011) and GDPR, we are required to inform you about cookies we use and obtain consent for non-essential cookies.

Cookies We Use

We use only strictly necessary cookies — these are exempt from consent requirements under Regulation 5(5) of S.I. No. 336 of 2011 as they are essential to provide the service you have requested.

• Session cookie — maintains your session while you browse (expires when you close your browser).
• Cookie consent cookie — stores your acknowledgement that you have seen our cookie notice (expires after 12 months).
• CSRF protection token — a security cookie that prevents cross-site request forgery attacks (expires with session).

Cookies We Do Not Use

We explicitly do not use:

• Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics tracking.
• Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any social media tracking.
• Advertising or retargeting cookies of any kind.
• Any cookie that tracks your behaviour across other websites.

Third-Party Services

When you make a payment via Stripe, Stripe may set its own cookies as part of the payment process. These are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. We have no control over Stripe's cookies and they are only activated when you initiate a payment.

Managing Cookies

Because we only use essential cookies, there is no opt-out for cookies on PicturePerfect.ie (essential cookies cannot be disabled without breaking the site). You can, however, manage cookies through your browser settings:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
• Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

Disabling cookies may prevent parts of PicturePerfect.ie from functioning correctly.

Legal Basis

Essential cookies are placed under the exemption in Regulation 5(5) of S.I. No. 336 of 2011 (Irish ePrivacy Regulations) as they are strictly necessary for a service explicitly requested by the user. No consent is required for these cookies.
